The La Auroa 1903 Cameroon, the third installment in the company’s Time Capsule series is now available.
La Aurora is pleased to release the La Aurora 1903 Cameroon. The 1903 Cameroon is a line extension of the “time capsule” series, which also boasts the 1962 Corojo and 1987 Connecticut. These blends are dedicated to the years in which they began working with the type of respective wrapper used on each. The La Aurora 1903 Cameroon will begin this week.
The La Aurora 1903 Cameroon is a special blend, as it celebrates the year in which the Cameroon wrapper was first used, (which also happens to be the inaugural year of the company itself). The 1903 Cameroon features a beautiful Cameroon wrapper, housing Sumatra Ecuadorian binder, and Dominican & Nicaraguan fillers. The Leon family which is celebrating 113 years in the marketplace has created this “time capsule” series, as a “thank you” to the consumers, which have helped them, reach this milestone. For this reason, the La Aurora 1903 Cameroon just like its predecessors, the 1962 and 1987 will be offered at the same consumer friendly price, $5.75 – $6.25.
From the heart of Darkness
In medium strength, but top aromatic and pleasant smoke, La Aurora Cameroon represents the really first modern bet by La Aurora, a step forward in the tradition of the original cigar manufacturer in Dominican Republic, since 1903. With a large portfolio of different vitolas and rings that have a range from 30 to 58 thickness, La Aurora Cameroon gets its name from the “heart of darkness”, Cameroon, Africa, where its red and shiny wrapper was formerly harvested (nowadays, is Cameroon seed grown in Ecuador). The binder is from Ecuador and the filler is Dominican and Nicaragua. The result is a pitch-perfect classic blend, very well balanced. An aromatic smoke made by the expert hands of La Aurora and its centenary tradition.
A medium-bodied cigar that provides a pleasant smoke taste and in which the sweetness of its spicy cinnamon notes are evident, along with a touch of cocoa and notes of wood and red citric fruits that linger throughout the entire smoke.
